Club Policy On Racism & Discrimination

PYSC's Club Policy On Racism & Discrimation

Racism, racist behavior, or any form of discrimination goes against one of our most important core values, Respect.  We believe it goes without saying that discrimination has no room within the Peninsula Youth Soccer Club.
This club is proud to represent the diversity of the Bay Area and we celebrate the many ethnicities, nationalities and differences of our players.  We stand for inclusion and respect, not only for our teammates, families, coaches, referees and community, but also for the opponents we compete against. We cannot and will not tolerate discrimination, bullying, disrespect or derogatory language of any kind.  This includes but is not limited to discrimination on the basis of race, color, gender, sexual orientation, religion, and country of origin.
We condemn all discriminatory actions, behavior or comments.  We will make every effort to investigate all accusations made by or against our club.  Appropriate action will be taken if an internal offense is verified and we will do everything in our power to challenge acts of discrimination directed towards any member of the club.  More importantly, we ask that you do not engage in discriminatory behavior and do not be a bystander to the behavior.  Please immediately report any concerns to referees, coaches, the Director of Coaching and Board of Directors. If you feel that anyone's safety is at immediate risk, please call 911 immediately.
We appreciate your attention and sensitivity to this matter and we kindly ask everyone to do their part to ensure a respectful and inclusive environment for our children to compete within safely.
 Thank you,
 Board of Directors
Peninsula Youth Soccer Club
